1) Build your brand. Don’t just make sales take time to build your brand. People don’t just buy Apple computers, iPhones, and iPads, they swear by them. They tell their friends about them. People write glowing reviews about items they like, and some of them even hit the Facebook like button.

What I’m trying to say here, is make your business likeable. Be the business people want to tell their friends about. When I first started out, I included a handwritten thank-you note with every item I sold. As my business got bigger, this got harder to do. One thing I did was to print up blank Thank-you cards with Vista Print. Whenever I make a large sale, I write a personalized note on one of these and include it when I mail their items.
